Madame Mooi (aka Sally Hulse)
Sally Hulse (Madame Mooi) first came to notoriety in New York in ’99 with a collection of one off pieces created especially for savvy stylists.
Enjoying success with a range drawing on punk, hard rock, and the occasional sparkle as inspiration, Sally Hulse, designer for Madame Mooi decided to return to Australia and continued her triumph in the accessories field for the fashion forward. Quietly gathering fans for her label, Madame Mooi has grown into an international hit and stocked in some of the coolest boutiques worldwide.
Recent ranges have seen superb metallics, foils, cracked and textured finishes rarely seen in the affordable accessories market. Fabulous Silks from India are used to line most of the collection. From pieces that please (unique embellished clutches), pieces for a purpose (sexy carry-alls, totes, travel), to quirky party bags. Madame Mooi caters for the working woman, the chic mum or simply the style conscious.
With style arbiters such as Courtney Love, Kelly Osbourne, The White Stripes’ Meg White, Sister Bliss of Faithless and Mary Quant among fans of Madame Mooi designs, the visionary accessories range is a treat for any outfit.
All of her bags are now tagged with Sally Hulse moniker.
